Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT The wave equation has been obtained for the orthogonal coordinates in this research, and then two-dimensional wave equation has been obtained as an equation of motion the Cartesian coordinate system. Then, the equation of motion has been reduced to acoustic and elastic wave equations to represent the wave propagation in the media better. Then two dimensional acoustic and elastic wave modelling has been fulfilled for the different mediums. Fortran and MathCAD programming has been used for to obtain various seismogram graphics for the acoustic and elastic wave modelling. With the help of these graphs wave propagation and reflections has been investigated. Keywords: Acoustic Wave Equation, Elastic Wave Equation, Finite Difference Method, Mathematical Modelling. II
