Abstract (EN)
Our study aims at determining the influence of doctors who were born and grew up in Anatolia and the influence of medical works written in Anatolia since Ancient Ages on contemporary knowledge level of department of obstetrics and gynecological diseases.Information, drugs, equipment and application about this issue in the works written by Soranus and Sabuncuoğlu, representatives of early and late classic medicine paradigm, were handled in relation with other works belonging to classic medicine literature.It was found out that from the period of Soranus till that of Sabuncuoğlu medicine knowledge increased in a very restricted way and differences of the works of both doctors are important in that they reflect progress between the periods.
