Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to evaluate the difference of social skill levels after given social skill training to different social skill leveled soldiers. In this research, 217 Turkish Military Forces? soldiers were used. Because of finding the effect of this training on social skill level improvement of soldiers, the applied social skill training program is independent component of this research. In this research pretest-post test control group style was used and to measure the soldiers? social skill levels the self-description inventory that adapted to Turkish by Yüksel (1997) was used.Social skill training that is developed by researcher had been applied to experiment group for 9 weeks and 1.5 hour in a week. On the other side, the control group didn?t experience any activity. In order to test if there is an important difference between social skill levels of experiment and control group, the t test is used. To analyze the collected data, SPSS 13.0 For Windows (the statistic program for social sciences) is used. Results indicated thatthere is an important difference between pre and post tests points of soldiers in experiment group and important difference between pre and post tests point of soldiers in control group. On the other hand, there is no difference between post test social skill points of soldiers involved in experiment and control group.According to results, social skill training doesn?t have significant effect on increasing soldier?s social skill levels. This result is not appropriate with expectation.
