Abstract (EN)

When we look at the curriculum of the Social Studies course, we can see that almost all the subjects that make up the content of the Social Studies course are open to the innovations in our day and can contribute to these innovations. The subjects covered in the Social Studies course are very important information for students in their social life and throughout their education life. The most permanent learning of the students by this knowledge will provide benefits for them in their future lives. The easiest way of catching this persistence is to conduct Social Studies lessons by taking advantage of hypertext and hypermedia applications. The main purpose of this research is to examine the views of middle school students to wards hypertext and hypermedia applications which can be easily used and fined at the desired place. In this context, the students in six than seventh grades in Şemsettin Karahisari Secondary School located in the Central District of Afyonkarahisar Province were selected as the sample to cover Marchand April of 2017. Here, hypertext and hypermedia application sites are used in accordance with the class levels that were created before the data was collected from the students. As a result of examining the written notes taken from the students, it has been seen that the students emphasize that they want to study Social Studies lessons with more visual and auditory items and that means more hypertext and hypermedia applications should take place.Students have expreseed that, Social Studies courses are learned more permanently with hypertext and hypermedia applications and helps to examinations and homework; accessibility to subjects and lessons; they remembered them more easily than before. As a result of the interviews made with the students, the sixt hands eventh graders think that the hypertext and hypermedia applications performed were very useful; that they have the opportunity to benefit from too many visual and auditory elements while their lessons are being worked on; they can store their knowledge more permanently in their memory. In this context, the usage of hypertext and hypermedia can be increased in Social Studies lessons which require a lot of visual and auditory elements and hypertext and hypermedia applications can be designed according to the students' own levels.
