Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this thesis is to raise awareness about the effects of social media on women's psychology on people who are exposed to this effect. With this research, it was found that the perception of perfection in social media negatively affects women's psychology. The findings were adapted to the thesis film Social Media and Women's Psychology - Perfect. In the film, in the context of body image, the reasons why women live with aesthetic concerns about their bodies are revealed. It has been observed that in women who spend a lot of time on social media, psychological changes occur due to arousal by constantly watching the perfect. It is predicted that these anxiety disorders in women arise as a result of the imposition of the social media algorithm. The psychology of women, which changes negatively and tries to fit a certain mold, has negative consequences on women in particular and society in general. People have begun to make approaches based on negative criticism and physical defects in their relations with each other. In the focus of aesthetic concern, there is a constant scrutiny about why the person does not look thinner and aesthetically pleasing, rather than as they should be. Depending on this negative situation experienced today, the main goal of the research is to raise awareness of female users of social media on this issue. Looking at the whole of the research; women are starting to experience anxiety disorders with this pressure. The thesis film titled "Social Media and Women's Psychology - Flawless" constitutes the second part of the study in this direction.
