Abstract (EN)
The phenomenon of peer bullying has emerged as an important problem mostly seen in schools from past to present. Today, as a result of the great changes that the media and communication systems have undergone, the increase in the use of the internet and the widespread use of social media platforms, individuals devote a significant amount of time to these platforms. In particular, adolescents use social media accounts to communicate and interact with their friends, to present slices of their lives, to make new friends, to convey their tastes, lifestyles and ways of thinking. In this study, first of all, digital communication technologies and traditional peer bullying, which are the two elements that form the basis of digital peer bullying, are examined. The practical possibilities of traditional peer bullying, which is the previous dimension of digital peer bullying, the relationship between the bully and the victim, which are the parties of peer bullying, and their characteristics, and the factors affecting peer bullying have been revealed.In the light of this information and theories, the phenomenon of digital peer bullying has been defined, and the characteristics, types and realization forms of digital peer bullying have been revealed. In the last part of the study, author entries on peer bullying and digital peer bullying in participatory e-dictionaries, which have a very important popularity, author and subject headings with the development of digital communication technologies, were examined. These entries were analyzed with MaxQda, a qualitative data analysis program. Since there was no participant e-dictionary analysis on the phenomenon of digital peer bullying before, this study aimed to contribute to the literature.
