Abstract (EN)

Air conditioning systems are main component of heat exchangers in these days. They become indispensable necessary of our life because of their usage area, aesthetic view and multifunctional. With development of product variety, they become important system element in literature studies. In literature, many theory, experimental and computer aided numerical analysis studies are existent for different type of heat exchangers. However in many studies general method is separating heat exchangers from their systems and providing their working conditions with their boundary conditions. Examining different geometries and capacities of heat exchangers which are evaluated with their system, made time, cost, and production difficulties. So these studies must be made with improving computer aided numerical analysis studies. In this study, heat exchangers in split air conditioners which are one of the most usages of conditioning systems applications in daily life, are chosen as a subject. Most commonly used winged pipe heat exchanger type is chosen. Numerical effects of design parameters on capacity and system efficiency were examined under conditions which are smilar to real working conditions. Although designing parameters have wide working area; changing of pipe diameter, horizontal and vertical distance between pipes, space between fins, fin and pipe thickness conditions are examined in this study. In this study, the effects on heat transfer, pressure drop and flow velocity were examined with changing of designing parameters. Laminar flow under specific boundary conditions were used under FLUENT for the analysis. After analysis, new designenig parameters investigated with Nuselt number, heat convectiom and heat transfer rate values. New optimal designing parameters are presented for revision of the heat exchangers.
