Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT The Problem of Ethical Values in Sport Activities Sport, one of the most important field of activity of our age, is increasingly gaining importance and recognition as on the agenda of science and society, not only with its social, economical, cultural and political aspects, but also with its ethical problems. Problems covering ethical values have been increasingly experienced in all fields of sports in the last thirty years. In the first part of the study the problem of ethical values in sport activities is investigated in connection with "unfair play" practices such as drug using, chicanery, violence etc. A 225-questions -Edwards Personnel Preference Schedule and 24 questions-value-questionnaire applied to sportsman competing in the first soccer league and to Physical Education and Sport High School students taking sports education are evaluated. The results of the questionnaires indicate that an increase in the level of education does not, as a rule, increase the recognizing of ethical values. As long as both the performance sportsman and those taking sports education often make use of amoral ways for being successful, public interest to sports will gradually decline. The fact that winning, not participating, is prevalent is emphasized and the causes of this negativity are analyzed in connection with the conditions of social life. In the second part, ethical problems and values conflicts in soccer and athletics, which are most popular sports activities in the world and also in our country are examined. What increases interest to sports is the result's being unknown beforehand. What attracts and increases interest in sports competition is that the result is unknown even when one side favorite and the other great odds. Key words : Competition, Doping, Ethical value, Sports XII
