The relationship of long duration fatigue with muscle damage in athletes

Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the effects of long duration fatigue with performance measurement in athletes and the relationship of long duration fatigue with muscle damage which training result possible determined. 15 male athletes whose educate on school of sport science and physical education, which mean age 24 ± 0.9, mean body weight 72.23 ± 2 kg and mean height 177.5 ± 1.4 cm were participated to study as a volunteer.Participant athlets were performed 3 day/week for a period of 6 weeks during which an intermittent 30m. sprint training programme. In the first 5 wk period of the adaptation training increased gradual intensity, in the 6. wk of overload training increased volume without change training method, followed two day of normal training performed. Muscle strength, speed and flexibility were measured before, immediately after, for 24 hour after each week of first training and 3., 5., 7. ve 9. days following overload training in the 6. wk. Kortisol, TNF-?, IL-6 concentrations were measured from taken venous blood samples before and immediately after the first training of 1. 5. and 6. wk, addition CK, LDH and CRP concentrations measurement 24 hour after the trainings and also 72 hour after training at the 6. wk. Serum IGF-1 concentration measurementS before and after the training at the 1. and 6. wk.The 30 m. speed of Athlets improved after 5 wk, however muscle strength, speed and flexibility performance were decreased 9 day after 6. wk of overload training. At the 1. 5. and 6. wk which LDH increased concentration post training, CK concentration increased post training, 24 hour after the training and 72 hour after the training at the 6. wk, flexibility fallen post training 24 hour after the training. Measures of following day were compared, at the 6. wk CK concentration werw higher than 5. wk and flexibility value lower than 1. wk. Serum IGF-1 concentration increased post training at the 6. wk. Serum cortisol concentration increase was observed post training at the 1. and 6. wk, this increase that at 6. wk more high were detected. Trainings did not effect serum CRP, TNF-? and IL-6 concentrations.We have concluded that, in trained athlets the overload training which increased volume without change training method, caused muscle damage and long duration fatigue with performance decreased, violence of muscle damage directly effect recovery at the performance and also this related to get longer duration of fatigue.
