Company valuation in start-up and technology companies

With the increase in globalization in recent years, the competition between companies is increasing in the world, which has become almost a single market. While companies operate in order not to be harmed by increasing competition, they also want to increase their market shares in the globalizing world. At this point, companies frequently prefer to establish new partnerships and acquire existing companies. While the decision to buy a company or establish a partnership is being implemented, the price at which the transaction will take place creates an atmosphere of discussion. Experts are requested to evaluate companies in order to avoid price disputes between the parties and to meet on a common ground between the parties. In addition, while making investment decisions in financial markets, the question of which company to invest in will increase earnings more must be answered. Investors have to do some research before investing, otherwise investment decisions are far from rationality and real or legal persons who invest at the end of the process löse. At this point, it should be taken into account that the companies to be invested are priced more or less than they should be. In order to make comparisons, it is possible for investors to determine the real value of companies with company valuation methods. In this study, company valuation methods are explained. Then, the methods described were applied specifically to start-ups and technology companies. The differences between the results were examined and the differences between the results were explained.
