Abstract (EN)

In this study, the electromagnetic performance analysis of glass fiber composite radomes with different fiber orientations under static load was conducted. Glass fiber composite radomes are important structural elements used in radar and communication systems, and their electromagnetic transparency and mechanical strength are critical. Radomes are special structures that protect antennas from environmental effects and do not obstruct the passage of radio waves. Radomes are used to protect antenna and radar systems from environmental atmospheric and physical damage and camouflage the antennas. While performing this protective function, they transmit radio waves with minimal loss. For radar and antenna systems to operate effectively, signals need to be transmitted and received accurately and without loss. Therefore, the permeability of radomes to radio waves is becoming increasingly critical. Due to this permeability, the materials that can be used in the industry are limited, so improvements in existing materials will greatly contribute to the accurate operation of systems. In the study, experiments were carried out on radome samples arranged with different fiber orientations (monolithic and homogeneous). According to the process, it was observed that glass fiber orientations and composite structures that were considered did not have considerable effect on the performance of the radome electromagnetic transmission capability
