Abstract (EN)
Throughout the history of philosophy, questions regarding the good life have been a central concern, occupying the minds of various thinkers and cultures. This discussion, shaped around the themes of happiness and virtue, has extended from antiquity to the present day. In this thesis, the Stoic philosophy founded by Zeno of Citium will be examined from a historical perspective, focusing on its concepts of morality, nature, and wisdom. Furthermore, the functionality of the spiritual exercises practiced by the Stoics in practical life will be evaluated in the context of today. The reason for examining these concepts and spiritual exercises within the framework of Stoic philosophy is to provide a focused analysis of the relevant concepts. The study will conceptually compare Stoic philosophy with other schools of the period and will approach the relevant concepts through the works of the philosophers of the time and the sources that influenced these philosophers.
