Çağdaş Türkiye'de Yahudilerin kimlik stratejileri

In our present study, the identity strategies of the Turkish Jews that are developed to protect their identities and their presence in modern Turkey is examined. Our study is composed of two sections. In the first section, what is examined is the attitude and the struggle of the Turkish Jews from the minorities of Lausanne towards anti-minority and discriminative policies which covers the period of time from the founding of the republic to the period of multi-party system. Thus, the time period which we call ?The Mono-Party Period? had been quite difficult as well as being very painful for Turkey?s Jews. However, in our second section, what is examined is quite a very different existence struggle that started with the Democratic Party and which had got a new dimension with the establishment of the 500th Year Foundation in 1989. However, although today the impact of the Foundation has declined and as its mission has reduced, those struggles still continue.
