Utilizing a phenomenological design, a qualitative research method, this study involves semi-structured interviews with senior executives in the sector. The data collected were analyzed using content analysis. The findings reveal that intuition plays a significant role in strategic decision-making processes, enabling executives to make quick and effective decisions by leveraging their intuitive knowledge. It was also found that intuitive decision-making processes are shaped by the experiences, knowledge, and instincts of the executives. This study underscores the importance of intuition in strategic decision-making within the forest products sector and elucidates how intuitive knowledge is utilized in these processes.
