Nowadays the companies contend with survival and achievement in an environment where economic, technological and social developments take place and computation is becoming tougher. The developments and expeditions changes,and to adjust to varying conditions. In the process of acquiring the competitive advantage and accommodating these changes, the concept of strategic management planning period has become so important. Strategic management and planning enables executives to identify the strenghts and weakness of the company as well as opportunities and threats within the environment. By means of strategic planning the firms can determine their their aimsand be prepared for unexpected changes. By the same time, strategic planning enables the firms to control their own future; in other words, it gives them the possibility to have power over their destiny. Today's health system or dertar gets to have maximum profitability of health institutions' management with strategic management and planning factors. In Hospitals, performance increase of organization, service quality and maintain continuity of efficiency cause enabling development of Turkish health systems and increase in trust of people to wards institutes. In the first part of this study, the definition of strategy, the conceptsrelating to the topicand their relationships between strategic management and planning areemphasized. In the secondpart, the detailed explanations concerning the concept of strategic management and planning topic in Turkey arestressed.
