Abstract (EN)
Pathogenic bacteria that have acquired antibiotic resistance due to incorrect or unnecessary use of antibiotics pose a threat to the whole world. S. pyogenes is penicillin sensitive and penicillin is currently used in the first step in the treatment of S. pyogenes infections. Penicillin resistance has not been reported, but the number of macrolide antibiotic resistant isolates used in people with penicillin allergy is increasing. To solve this problem, SpyCEP enzyme, which plays a role in the virulence mechanism of S. pyogenes, was selected as a target for obtaining potential drug molecules. DNA aptamers were developed using the SELEX method to develop DNA aptamers that bind to and inhibit the enzyme SpyCEP.
