Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to search the effects of Stress Management Training Program on the students level of stress and life satisfications of elementary school students from 6 to 8th grades.The sample of the study includes 30 students studying in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades of Gölcükler Adnan Olcay School in İzmir in the academic year of 2006-2007. The number of students consisted of 13 girls and 17 boys.The data was collected through the use of three different measures. Coping Strategies Inventory and Satisfication With Life and Personal Information Form were used to measure some socio-demographic data of the sample.The data was analyzed by using Avarage , Standart Derivation , and Wilcoxson TestingThe results of the research are presented as follows:1.By means of coping with stress there is a great discrepancy between the initial and final test of the subjects ; however, the same difference is seen in the control group,2.A notable difference has appeared between the control group and the subjects towards Satisfaction With Life .3.By means of Problem Solving Skills between the initial and final test values of the subjects there is a notable difference ; however , the same difference was discovered in the group in control .4.The results of looking for a social support between the subjects and the control group a notable difference was discovered.5.A notable difference was discovered in the evasive stategy results between the control groups and the subjects.Key Words: Stress, Stress Management, Satisfication With Life
