Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of anise (Pimpinella anisum), ginseng (Alpina officinarum),ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) and Tegretol (Carbamazapine) on the glucose and total cholesterolconscentrations in the blood, the liver and the brain of the male mice (Mus musculus) stressedwere studied. The investigation have been conducted together the starvation caffeinize and thecaptiveness in the cage during 15 days. The agents were given seperately during 40 days andafter 40 days the blood examples were taken from the tail of all animals and these animals weredied by cervical dislocation. As the results, blood glucose levels were found 339.76 ± 0.61 inwithout the stres and 649.02 ± 15.27 mg/dl in the stressed groups; 407.75 ± 3.76, 454.06 ± 0.93,667.15 ± 6.64, 706.71 ± 6.82 mg/dl respectively in effected of anise, ginseng, ginkgo andTegretol. The amounts of the liver glucose were found 161.75 ± 3.12 in without the stres and750.55 ± 18.30 mg/dl in the stressed groups; 154.47 ± 4.12, 148.09 ± 5.84, 152.12 ± 6.04 mg/dlrespectively in effected of anise, ginseng, ginkgo and Tegretol. The brain glucose 7.94 ± 0.58mg/dl in without stress group and 10.29 ± 0,32 in stressed group; 12.64 ± 0.74, 20.25 ± 0.85,6.37 ± 0,41 and 7.15 ± 0.41mg/dl respectively in effected of anise, ginseng, ginkgo andTegretol. The blood cholesterol concentrations were found as 155.69 ± 0.38 mg/dl in without thestress and 334.58 ± 11.79 mg/dl in the stressed groups; 381.66 ± 5.99, 345.90 ± 6.76, 363.33 ±5.62 and 370.13 ± 5.61 mg/dl respectively in effected of anise, ginseng, ginkgo and tegretol. The liver cholesterol concentrations were found as 27.49 ± 0.41mg/dl in without the stres and84.37 ± 0.34 mg/dl in the stressed groups; 94.58 ± 1.84, 121.87 ± 4.13, 343.12 ± 12.05 and317.91 ± 6.79 mg/dl respectively in effected of anise, ginseng, ginkgo and tegretol. The braincholesterol concantrations were determined as 21.24 ± 1.27 mg/dl in without the stress and13.15 ± 0.26 mg/ dl in the stressed groups; 13.53 ± 0.64, 21.24 ± 1.48, 27.49 ± 0.74 and 19.16 ±1.88 mg/dl respectively in effected of anise, ginseng, ginkgo and Tegretol.Key Words: Male mice (Mus musculus), Anise (Pimpinella anisum), Ginseng (Alpinaofficinarum), Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba), Tegretol (Carbamazapine), Stress
