Structural analysis of Turkish animation and a survey of cartoon sector

Animation is a field of art developing and changing day by day. Even though the first thing came to mind is cartoon film when animation is considered, recently it has become significant in many fields such as cinema, television, education, engineering. Although techniques used in animation production has changed in time, the creating process stayed same. First examples of animations in Turkey has been created within impossibilities and nevertheless aroused interest on every zone. These works which could not go over unfortunately personal efforts, stayed in background for a long time because animation could not become a sector in Turkey. Academic works done in the end of 20th Century became a milestone for animation. When children themed television channels started to broadcast, animation market gained acceleration with the actors showing up. However this fast and sudden improvement has created so many questions. This thesis aims to set light to development of animation art in Turkey and describes its problems. Accordingly a field research has been made on people working in this sector.
