Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is to examine the connective knowledge levels of secondary school students according to grade level, gender, reading frequency and writing frequency. In this study, the comparative survey model, one of the general models of survey research, was used. The study was conducted with 856 secondary school students in the 2023-2024 academic year. Connector Test was used to determine students' connective knowledge. SPSS 26 program was used to analyze the data. The significance level was taken as 0.05. Skewness and kurtosis coefficients were examined to determine whether the data showed a normal distribution and were found to be between -2 and 2. Additionally, the assumption of homogeneity of variances was examined and it was determined that the variances were distributed homogeneously (p>0.05). As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the binding knowledge of the students studying in the 5th, 6th and 7th grades was at a "medium" level, and that of the students studying in the 8th grade was at a "high" level. It was observed that grade level had a moderate effect on conjunction success. It was found that the conjunction achievement levels of male and female students were at a medium level, there was a significant difference between the conjunction test scores in favor of female students, and gender had a low effect on conjunction success. It was observed that there was a significant difference between the students' conjunction test scores according to their reading frequency. According to the results of the multiple comparison test, there is a difference between students who do not read at all and students who read once a month, twice a month and more than 3 times a month, to the detriment of students who do not read at all. It was found that reading frequency had a low effect on conjunction success.
