Abstract (EN)

This study, which includes the determination and analysis of the ishari interpretations of the verses and hadiths in the Sufi menâkıbnâme (anecdote books), which have an important place in terms of our cultural history and social memory, consists of two parts. In the "introduction" part, the subject, aim, scope, method, research problem, conceptual framework and limitations of the research are given. In the first section, information is given about the concept of menkabe, the historical development of menâkıbnâmes, their properties and their importance in terms of the history of Sufism, the nature of Ishari tafsir, the reasons of its emergence, its historical development, its types and method approach, and topics such as the hadiths and ishari interpretation is given. In the second part, the ishari interpretations of the verses and hadiths of Sufi whose menâkıbnâmes are examined are identified. Then, in order to establish a certain method, the verses and hadiths that are subject to ishari interpretation are classified as titles of sufistic importance, and in order to introduce the subjects, brief information is given in the nature of introduction. These verses and hadiths are arranged in tables in order to provide an integrity and preliminary information. Then, evaluations were made in the context of the subject related to these verses and hadiths identified and classified. In this study, it was determined that there is a considerable number of verses and hadiths containing ishari interpretations in the menâkıbnâmes examined. It was observed that the Sufis' ishari interpretations of the verses were compatible with the literal meaning or are not far from the apparent meaning, but were enriched only with the sufi point of view and sufistic depth. When evaluated in terms of hadith, in addition to the narratives in the authentic hadith sources, controversial narratives in terms of the hadith science were also included, and these narratives were interpreted through the perspective of the Sufi. Keywords: Sufism, menâkıbnâme, ishari tafsir, hadith.
