Abstract (EN)

Structures, on which there is constant communication between computers or multiple electronic device systems, enabling them to be connected to each other for various reasons such as ease of central administration and support, are called network infrastructures. One of the most important problems of today is to plan and manage these infrastructures correctly that have entered every point of life, and to ensure the continuity, efficiency, and user satisfaction of the infrastructure by accurately measuring the factors affecting the performance of a service offered on itself. Many network infrastructures either become unusable in a short time due to design errors and inability to measure, or efficiency does not satisfy users. Therefore, there are many parameters to be considered from the design of infrastructure to the creation of a team for managing it. A substantial list of key performance indicators was compiled and proposed for monitoring and measuring these parameters. Design studies were carried out for large network infrastructure designs, protocol selection and redundancy. In the hierarchical designs, a simulation test environment was created to measure the performance effects of the virtual private networks on the network infrastructure according to the location of the default gateways. The effects of design differences on the infrastructure were examined by associating the results obtained from these tests with the proposed key performance indicators.
