Abstract (EN)
In this study, the relationship between sustainable leadership behaviors of state school principals of Yozgat province and the behavior of schools as a learning organization is tried to be determined. Another aim of the study is to reveal the aspects that support and prevent sustainable leadership and the learning organization according to the views of school principals. In the research, "explanatory sequential pattern", which is a mixed model in which quantitative and qualitative methods are used together, was used. In this research in which quantitative and qualitative methods are used together, "exploratory sequential pattern" is used. "Stratified sampling method" has been applied to realize that the sample can represent the universe best. The "Sustainable Leadership Scale in Schools (SLS)" developed by the researcher and "Learning Organizations Survey (LOS)" developed by Güçlü and Türkoğlu (2002) are used to collect the data. In analyses for SLS and LOS, "t-Test" was used for comparisons of variables with two categories, and "one-way variance analysis" for comparisons with categorical variables of three or more. In the qualitative phase of the research, the transcripts of the interviews with school principals are analysed by using "descriptive analysis" and "content analysis" techniques. Teachers' opinions on sustainable leadership behaviors of school principals do not differ according to gender, marital status, age, education level, seniority, seniority at school and graduated faculty. It has been determined that there is a good team (management), past success, high success expectation, and a strong corporate culture in schools where sustainable leadership behavior is exhibited. It was concluded that parent support is an important factor for sustainable leadership. Teachers' opinions that schools are learning organizations do not differ according to demographic variables. It has been determined that the activities carried out by school principals for the development of human resources, one of the sustainable leadership characteristics, encourage their schools to become learning organizations.
