Muhammad b. Jarir al-Tabari is a scholar who has an important place especially in the field of tafsir. His works are considered as important sources covering the early periods of Islam. Jami'u'l-Bayan an Ta'wili Ayi'l-Quran, one of the important sources mentioned, contains the early period materials of tafsir.
