Abstract (EN)
Turning-milling is a method of manufacturing that has recently been in need of rapid development and research in the manufacturing sector. Because of the combination of turning and milling methods, the processing parameters are too high. In this study, orthogonal and tangential types of turning-milling methods were experimentally compared. Experiments were carried out using the L36 orthogonal array in the Taguchi experiment design method. The experiment parameters, the machining method, the cutting tool speed, the workpiece speed, the depth of cut and the axial feed rate were selected. The effects of these parameters on the average surface roughness were determined experimentally and statistically. As a result of this study, it was determined that the processing method parameter of the processing parameters was very effective on the average surface roughness, and the tangential processing method significantly reduced the average surface roughness. It was determined that the workpiece transfer had a great influence. However the other parameters were found to have much more effect on average surface roughness. Key Words: Turning-Milling, Surface Roughness, Taguchi Method
