Abstract (EN)

Memristor as two terminal circuit element relating electrical charge and magnetic flux was proposed in 1971 by Leon Chua. But it's first pratical implemention has been realized by Richard Stanley Willams' group at HP laboratory in 2008. Memristor has drawn the worldwide attention after HP released its invention and after this year many studies have been made very different fields. Although it is physically implemented, there is no memristor element produced commercially. Like a resistor, it creates and maintains a safe flow of electrical current across a device, but it can also remember the last charge that was flowing through it. This feature makes different memristor from the other circuits devices. Due to the characteristics of memristor, many memristor based designs such as computer architecture, neuromorphic, communication systems and digital circuits are available in the literature. Because of the nonlinear feature of a memristor, it can be used in chaotic system designs and recently the designs of memristor based chaotic circuits which have different nonlinearities have attracted more attention. Since the commercial productions of memristors are not available yet, the experimental testing and verifying of memristor based chaotic systems are performed by emulator circuits generally composed of discrete components. This situation makes the circuit design quite complex and difficult. For this reason, it is important to implement the memristor based chaotic systems in a correct way by using fewer components. In this thesis, it is aimed to examine the available hardware implementations of the memristor based low and high pass filter in the literature and to research the systems via numerical simulation programs.
