Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research; to determine the skill levels of team and individual sports coaches to manage their own emotions and whether there is a statistically significant difference between them. In this thesis, the `Scanning Model` was used. The sample of the study consisted of 157 coaches, 70 team sports coaches and 87 individual sports coaches in Adana, Gaziantep, Hatay, Mersin, Osmaniye. 103 of the coaches in the study were male and 54 were female. In order to collect data, "Emotions Management Skills Scale" was used. The data obtained within the scope of the study were analyzed with SPSS 25 statistical package program. As a result of the normality test, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests, which are non-parametric tests, were applied in the analysis of the variables of the research questions. The results obtained from this study; In the sub-dimension of The Ability To Cope With Problems in the gender variable of individual branch trainers (p = 0.03 <0.05) and in the variable of The Ability To Express Emotions Verbally in the socio-economic status variable (p = 0.04 <0.05), in the branch trainers age in the The Ability To Cope With Problems sub-dimension (p = 0.05 = 0.05), in the branch variable the Anger Management sub-dimension (p = 0.01 <0.05) and in the socio-economic status variable The Ability To Cope With Problems sub-dimension (p = 0.02 <0.05) statistically significant difference was found. Other results obtained from this study; It is observed that the average of the team sports branch coaches' ability to manage emotions is higher than the individual sports branch coaches, age and emotion skill levels of the coaches in general and individual branch coaches are increasing in parallel, as a result of the increase in the economic level of emotion management skills have increased results.
