Restoration project of Tarabya Greek Primary School

The aim of this thesis is to study Tarabya Greek Primary School, located in Tarabya district in Sarıyer/İstanbul. It is aimed to prepare a conservation project that will help to recuperate this educational facility, which is about to collapse because of poor maintenance. After documenting the current state of the school, the previous state of the building is determined by old maps, photographs, written sources and personal interviews with past users and the difference between them are analyzed. It is decided to use the school building in an active way. The main concern is to sustain its historical value by conserving it.
