Abstract (EN)
Industry structures reflect the traces of the period in which they were built; As a result of social, cultural, economic and technological developments in the building, they lose their original functions and their economic values as a result of functional aging. As a result of the rapid population growth in the world and the increase in urbanization, it was observed that the historical industrial buildings in the city center remained in an idle and neglected state. It is observed that these buildings turn into a vacuum in rapid urbanization. These areas, which are evaluated under the name of Industrial Heritage ‟, should be adapted to the needs of the users today, and it should be ensured that the cultural and historical heritage can be carried to the future by re-evaluation. In this way, these structures can be kept alive with their new function by preserving historical textures and gaining new additions. It is an issue where joints are reconstructed and preserved by carrying the traces of the historical structure, in order to protect the historical and architectural values of industrial structures that are not used functionally today but which are physically present, to the future. The studies in Turkey regarding this issue is seen in different forms and functions in urban areas. The subject is addressed in terms of architectural protection criteria by focusing on the new spaces that are located in areas remote from the city centers at the time they were built, but that are gained as a result of the architectural space change and the re-functioning of the historical industrial buildings in the city centers. The reasons for the need for re-functioning are explained through the development of production spaces, the definition and concept of industrial heritage and the concept of re-functioning. Examples include structures selected as the world 'There are three examples from the two samples located in Turkey. The biggest factor in selecting these examples is the historical industrial building, and the transformation of the buildings into educational buildings as a result of the function again. In addition, the study of transforming the Kayseri Cloth Factory as the historical structure of the sample structure into Abdullah Gül University as the new function has been examined. While examining these structures, the interventions that were found in the re-functioning were examined among themselves, and the interventions that were added to the table in the form of a table were examined through the last examination by Abdullah Gül University. While examining Abdullah Gül University, Kayseri Bez Factory, which is an industrial heritage which is included in the industrial heritage and re-functionalized in line with the observations and information obtained, has been comprehensively determined by the visual and written sources, by determining the condition of the building from the first day of construction. It was investigated.
