Tarık Günersel's life and art approach

In this study, the life and artistic understanding of Tarık Günersel, who is a versatile artist such as a writer, poet, activist, actor, aphorist, storyteller and thinker, was examined. Tarık Günersel is one of the poets whose name should be mentioned first when it comes to concrete poetry in Turkish literature. He opened the first poetry workshop in Turkey and became a pioneer in determining the World Poetry Day. The style and surprising inventions in his poems and the poetic expression in his stories and plays make Günersel unique. The fact that he gives information about the social and cultural life of Saudi Arabia in his memoir between 1982-1986 makes this work important. Most of the parts about Günersel's life are first-hand information, as they consist of online interviews with the author at various times. In this study, Günersel's concrete poems and his literary and intellectual contributions to the country and the world were discussed. The Mosaic Epic Project, which consists of many genres and works, and the Earth Civilization Project in connection with this, which Günersel decided at the age of 20 and changed and transformed all his works in that direction, was also examined and revealed in all its lines. This study consists of seven chapters. In the first part, Günersel's life, works and literary personality were discussed. In the second part, post-1980 Turkish poetry and concrete poetry were outlined. In the third part, Günersel's poems were analyzed. Since the genre that Günersel wrote the most is poetry, this section forms the main backbone of this study. In the fourth chapter, brief summaries of their stories are given. In the fifth chapter, besides the extensive summaries of Günersel's published plays, the plays were analyzed in terms of language, time and space. In the sixth chapter, his aphorisms were classified thematically. In the seventh chapter, the memorial work was introduced and examples were given in order to form an idea about the work. Since Tarık Günersel has a large number of works, some of his works were taken as examples in this study and the author's understanding of art was revealed by induction method. In this way, the position of the author in Turkish literature was tried to be determined.
