Abstract (EN)

Parallel to the growth of global trade, international logistics competition is also increasing. For this reason, academic studies on the logistics sector are also increasing. Academic studies in the field of logistics are concentrated in the field of logistics activities. In this study, the regulation and optimization of the transportation process are studied in logistics. In the study, the design of intercity freight transportation route in Turkey has done. Performance evaluation is carried out according to various criteria of these route designs. In the first phase of the study, unimodal and multimodal transportation routes are determined with the other 80 cities for a filter material from Iskenderun. In the developed route scenarios, 71 cities from Iskenderun have unimodal highway transportation, 39 cities with unimodal rail transportation and 9 cities with unimodal maritime transportation. It is assumed that the freight is carried by container without handling the freight. Freight of 5, 10, 14 tones are selected from the filter materials as the freight tonnage. According to the value filter material, 40.000 TL for 5 ton freight, 145.000 TL for 10 ton freight and 250.000 TL for 14 ton freight. The factors affecting the route performance index, such as cost, travel time, car carbon dioxide emission, are calculated on the defined routes. Costs of routes are occurring vehicle fuel consumption, freight value, driver and other indirect costs. Time of transportation is consisted of loading and unloading, travel and driver rest time. Amount of emissions for each type of transportation is calculated according to the selected emission factor depending on the type of vehicle, the freight tonnage and transportation distance. According to these, the cost, travel time and emission amount values of the determined routes are weighted and the performances of the routes are defined. Thus, unimodal and multimodal routes from Iskenderun to 80 cities are evaluated by calculating fuel consumption, cost, time and emission values.
