Evaluation of electronic document management system in the context of technology acceptance model: A university example

Digital transformation in document processing is a process that involves solutions to the storage and archiving problems of paper documents, emerging with the advancement of technology. This process includes storing and managing documents in digital formats. Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) is a system that enables the management of document processes in a digital platform. The aim of the research is to examine the attitudes of academic and administrative staff at Dokuz Eylül University towards the usage and acceptance of the system. In this context, all staff members who actively use EDMS at the university constitute the population of the study. A total of 368 users participated in the survey, which was conducted using the Technology Acceptance Model scale. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS software, and the normality of the data was examined using kurtosis and skewness values. As a result of the research, users expressed positive views supportive of EDMS. These findings will have positive effects on the use of EDMS by university staff.
