Abstract (EN)

Anyone who creates an organization to produce goods or services in order to make a profit is called an entrepreneur. Considering the population of the world, it is observed that 50% of this population is male and 50% is female. However, when it comes to business life, the ratio between men and women is not the same. This is particularly noticeable in developing countries. Although the concept of entrepreneurship affects both economic and social development, it is especially important in terms of creating employment for women. Entrepreneurship emerges as an important method that enables women to participate more in employment. The number of women entrepreneurs starting a business from scratch or already owning a business is increasing day by day. Women entrepreneurs are no longer active in classical sectors only; they are also involved in the technology sector. The fact that the studies on entrepreneurship are mostly carried out on male entrepreneurs and the idea that women entrepreneurs are generally found in the non-technology based sectors makes it important to investigate early-stage women entrepreneurship in the technology sector as a new sector that women are involved in.
