Effects of technological developments on intelligence and terror

People with dark agendas, such as terrorists, benefit from the opportunities and possibilities of technological development as much as well-intentioned people. Terrorists' use of technology in their operations creates new security concerns. One of these is cyber terrorism, which occurs when terrorism shifts to virtual spaces. Terrorist groups have begun to use the knowledge and skills of hacker groups to operate in virtual environments. The study also focuses on the impact of technological developments on terrorism and intelligence. In the study, the opportunities provided by scientific and technological developments to terrorists are examined, the relationship between the internet and terrorism is drawn, and the level of cyber terrorism and its threat scale and its impact on Turkey and the world's countries are discussed.
