Abstract (EN)

Textile products provide suitable environment like temperature, moisture, nutrients for microorganisms living and reproduce, in terms of their structures and places that are used for. Antimicrobial textiles has become in demand products, depending on the increasing hygiene awareness and sensitivity. In this study, durable antimicrobial finishing chemical has been developed by using appropriate textile binders with metal ions doped calcium phosphate based antimicrobial powder which was synthesized by wet chemical method. Determining the effect of antimicrobial finishing chemical on physical properties of the fabrics, weight, washing, bursting strength, air permeability, pilling, color efficiency tests and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis were done. Antimicrobial activity tests were performed according to ?JIS L 1902-2002? standard by Escherichia coli bacteria.
