Abstract (EN)
The experiment was designed to analyse an anatomical investigation of the effect of dust waste (bottom ash) resulting from Can Thermal Power Plant in Canakkale on growth parameters on maize (Zea mays L.). Dust waste (bottom ash), caused by coal used in the plant, with a rich mineral content may support plant growth and nutrition. In this experiment soil were used as main growth media and dust waste (bottom ash) were mixed to this at the weight of 40, 80, 160, 320 and 640 g. Dust waste applications led to increase in germination rate, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll and carotenoid quantities, leaf?s upper and under surface stomata index, latitudinal and longitudinal growing of leaf?s vascular bundles and bulliform cells. But inhibitory effect on the overall growing of the plant has been determined.
