Abstract (EN)

In Turkey terrorism has occupied the country's agenda for many years and is nowadays still a valid agenda item. The country has lagged behind its political, social, cultural and economic goals by spending its energy and funds on the war on terror. Turkey's counter terrorism measures are effective in the security dimension but due to a lack of multidimensional ineffectiveness and commitment in the long term, terrorism continues to be one of the biggest problems of Turkey. This paper discusses how terrorism has transformed and evolved as a result of changing world conditions, their ability to utilize information and communication technology and the ways of using propaganda and perception management activities. In addition, the psychological dimension of terrorism is revealed through the case of the terrorist organizationPKK/KCK. In this study, basic information about the terrorist organization PKK/KCK is given and no detailled information is presented. The purpose, strategies, tools and methods of the propaganda and perception management activities of the terrorist organization PKK/KCK are discussed. Secondary sourcesare utilized by means of qualitative and quantitative research methods. The terrorist organization PKK/KCK'sperception management activities are reflected on the social life with exemplary case studies/conditions/attitudes from field work activities.
