Abstract (EN)

It is known that the Acropolis area of the ancient city of Thyateira was used as necropolis area or at least part of it for a period. The thesis covers the graves uncovered During the archaeological Excavations carried out between 2013-2019 at Thyateira Hastane Höyük. 67 graves of 3 different types were excavated. The graves were positioned in the east-west direction in the northern and Southern regions of the temple and the architectural structure that was thought to have been used as a chapel. In this study, it is aimed to give information about Burial typhology, Burial customs, age and sex numbers by grouping the graves in Hastane Höyük in terms of architectural features. In this respect, while giving information abouth the typhology of the graves, it was tired to give information about the Burial customs and the findings taht were found to be less. The small number of finds found in the graves and the use of different architectural remains in the construction of the graves made it difficult to date the graves. A small number of valuable finds, some of these tombs 10-12. century, with the help of Islamic and Crusade coins 13-14. century, starting from the similarities of the trappings found in Sardis, it is understood that it continued throughout the later stages of the Ottoman period, including the 14th-15th centuries. However, it is not possible to give a clear date for the last burial.
