Tilimsânî and the analysis of the work al-Miftâh al-Wusûl ilâ Binâ al-Furû Alâ al-Usûl

After any science is formed in the history of sciences and its basic texts are revealed, sub-disciplines that will facilitate the learning or teaching of that science emerge. Takhrîj al-furû alâ al-usûl literature has emerged as a sub-discipline of the science of fiqh due to such a need. Especially today, the debates about the function of fiqh have led to more discussion of this discipline. In this thesis, Tilimsânî's work named Miftâh al-wusûl ilâ binâ al-furû alâ al-usûl, which is the only work written within the framework of the Malikî school, will be examined in the literature of takhrîj al-furû. It has been examined in terms of its place and prominent features in takhrîj al-furû literature. Thus, both the debates around literature and the meanings attributed to literature will be discussed. In addition, Tilimsânî's life and his contribution to the Islamic science tradition will be discussed in this work.
