Ethnobotanical properties of tillo (Siirt) and surrounding

151 plant taxa belonging to 49 families were identified between 2019 and 2021 by surveys and interviews with local people living at Tillo and its villages. The first five families of 49 plant families are Asteraceae (22 taxa), Rosaceae (18 taxa), Brassiscaceae-Fabaceae-Lamiaceae (7 taxa), Amaryllidaceae-Apiaceae (6 taxa) and Cucurbitaceae-Iridaceae-Poaceae (5' each). private taxa). Of the identified taxa, 38 are Irano-Turanian, 9 are Mediterranean, 8 are Euro-Siberian elements, and the rest 96 taxa do not belong to any phytogeographic region. Among the taxa identified in the study area, Gundelia siirtica CR (Critical), Alkanna froedinii and Alcea apterocarpa LC (Low risk) are assessed as the critically endangered species. Also Gundelia siirtica ve Alkanna froedinii are evaluated as endemic. Identıfıed taxa have a vide usage areas. Among the taxa 99 are used in food products, 88 in pharmacology industry 19 in dye industry, 17 in animal feeds, 15 as tools or in the production of tools, 12 in decoratıon or adornment, 9 as aroma, 7 as fuel, 6 as spices and 3 are used in cosmetic industry. Different regions of the identified plants are used. Among them, above ground of the 59 taxa, fruit of the 39 taxa, leaves of the 30 taxa, stems of the 19 taxa, flowers of the 12 taxa, seeds of the 9 taxa, roots of the 7 taxa, tubers and resin parts of the 2 taxa and spike of the 1 taxa are used. Also all parts of the 14 taxa are used. As a result of this study, it was determined that 21 taxa are used for different purposes than its known usage areas.
