Abstract (EN)

Titanium material is lightweight, durable, high in corrosion resistance and biocompatible, thus it is widely used in the aviation, medical, defense etc. sectors. In these applications, laser processing is advantageous as it's non-contacting compared to mechanical methods, at the same time it causes thermal input in the processed parts. The thermal inputs may cause permanent deformations in manufacturing processes of materials with poor thermal conduction as titanium and so on. In this thesis, the deformations that occur during laser processing of CP Titanium Grade 2 material are investigated experimentally and numerically with thermo-mechanical analysis. Experiments were carried out by correlating these deformations which caused distortion in laser processing and forming in laser forming of titanium material and FEM analysis were performed and compared with experimental results. It was aimed to contribute to the studies of deformations and their prediction in laser processing and the corelation of the obtained results was calculated with the model and experiments.
