Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the feasibility of the organic fish production of the enterprises which are engaged in aquaculture in the network cages in Almus Dam Lake, Tokat Province, to determine the problems they face with the technical facilities and to propose solutions to the sector in accordance with this information. In the region, a total of 27 active enterprises have been identified that produce aquaculture products in network cages. These 27 enterprises were visited, one-to-one interviews were conducted and data were collected about the feasibility of organic fish production to present the current situation and problems of the enterprises. While the total project capacity of these enterprises was 4 445 tons / year, their total production capacity was detected as 4 262 tons/year. It is determined that 70.37% of the owners want to produce organic produce and 29.63% do not want to make organic production. While the facilities provide some of the organic fish production standards, it is determined that they do not provide some conditions. It is evident that many of these conditions will increase production costs, so trout producers have stepped back on organic production. In order to make organic fish production and sales more attractive, studies should be carried out by institutions and organizations and detailed scientific investigations should be carried out.
