Abstract (EN)

In this research, grey mullets was harvested from Homa Dalyan affiliated to Ege University. Sperma samples obtained 0-2 °C has been retained in ice molds. Afterwards were examined under phase contrast type a microscope every hour. In this study, grey mullet (Mugil cephalus L. 1758) semen during with the natural breeding season were determined spermological properties such as pH, volume, the ability to live and storage period. Also short-term protection in the process has been identified the mechanisms of action of 4 different inactivation (Hepes, Tris, BSA, DMSO). In the study, a total of 5 pieces of broodstock fish has been used for sperma retrieval. Broodstocks has been identified as average weights 753,6±47,21 gram, average height 40,6±1,14 cm. Grey mullet sperma to be used in the study was found pH value of 6,7. Broodstocks obtained from semen has been identified as the average of volume 2±0,5 ml.kg-1. The viability of the sperma has been identified as fresh semen also 6 min, Hepes also 6 min 30 sec, BSA also 5 min 20 sec, Tris also 3 min 20 sec and DMSO also 8 min 30 sec. 36-hour working period ends, sperma storage period has been identified fresh semen also 28 hour, from inaktivator Tris also 2 hour, in other inaktivator (Hepes, BSA and DMSO) 36 hour activity. Key Words: Grey mullet, Flathead grey mullet, sperma, extender, short-term protection
