Abstract (EN)

Abstract: Soil is in essence one of the most important factors affecting plant growth. In order to accelerate plant growth and soil productivity, the most applied method is soil fertilization. Fertilization ensures that many nutrients in the soil are rapidly mixed into the soil and that the soil composition changes. Another major factor that affects the plant growth and productivity is shading. Shading conditions and light exposure directly influence the speed of photosynthesis. In addition to this, shading has impacts on the rate of soil decomposition, soil-litter mixing and the moisture content of the soil. The rate of decomposition of the fertilizers in the soil and hence the degree of mixing to soil varies depending on the climatic factors. One of those factors is the shading condition of soil. The aim of this study was to determine the nutrient change in soil in lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) individuals, which were grown in different shade conditions and fertilized with different fertilizers. The lavender plant used as object of this study was chosen because of its adaptation to arid areas and its significant importance as medical aromatic plant. Key Words: Soil nutrients, shadow conditions, Lavandula angustifolia
