Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of Torsen differential on vehicle handling dynamics were investigated. In order to do this, a MATLAB®-based simulation program was developed by using a five mass, 15 degrees of freedom mathematical model that is based on the second order differential equations which are generated from generalised co-ordinates of the wheels and the vehicle body. By using this program which consists of independent suspension module, powertrain module, tyre module etc., effects of the changes of tyre-road coefficient on the translational and turning characteristics of the road vehicle were studied, in case of the variation of the parameters such as drive configuration and torque bias ratio.
