Abstract (EN)

In this study, physicochemical parameters such as pH, Electrical Conductivity (EI) and hardness (Fr °) of the drinking water as well as cation and anion measurements of drinking water in Torul-Kürtün District centers of Gümüşhane Province were investigated. The pH, conductivity and hardness values of the water samples vary between 7.54-8.10, 119.5-640 and 9.93-26.22, respectively. the concentrations of anions and cations in all analyzed water samples are within the limits set by TS-266 and World Health Organization. According to the TS 266 standard, the EI values of all samples, except the samples numbered T2 (640 µS / cm), K9 (479 µS / cm) and K11 (477 µS / cm), indicate first class waters that are classified as normal chlorinated and oligchlorinated waters; as normal sulphate, oligosulphate and sulphate waters. According to the Piper diagram, the waters are mixed composition of Ca+Mg containing bicarbonate (HCO3) and Ca, with low SO42+Cl . In waters, in which chloralkaline index I and chloralkaline index II are calculated positively, Na + and K + ions are replaced by Mg + 2 and Ca + 2 ions in the rocks. The graph of SO4 + HCO3 versus Ca + Mg revealed that carbonate decomposition in water is more effective than silicate decomposition. Trace element analysis results indicate that the concentrations of all elements, except Co and Pb, are within the standards. Considering all data, it is concluded that the analyzed water samples are generally in the category of good water in terms of drinking water.
