Abstract (EN)

Increment of coal quality realized by coal preparation processes. During these processes coal particle size decreases and moisture content increases. Moisture content must be reduced by using dewatering techniques before shipping. However, with decreasing particle size, dewatering efficiency also decreases so that increases costs. Dewatering process efficiency can be improved by dewatering aids. In this study, surface tension and contact angle measurements taken to define coal and relationship between reagent. Studies conducted with screen bowl centrifuge and mouisture content results obtanied. Raw coal samples taken and crushed below ten mm after that, samples fed to centrifuge. By using centrifuge without reagents, moisture content decreased to nearly twenty seven percent. Different reagents (SDS, CTAB, IGEPAL-630 and CPC) tested on this study. Best result taken with twenty grams CPC per ton and lowest mouisture content was nearly twenty four percent.
