Abstract (EN)

In this work, Ali Kushchu's Risale fi'1-Mecâz ve'1-İsti'âre's critical edition and manuscripts about Arabic language and rhetoric in Trabzon Public Library were investigated. According to to the records of the library, there are 475 volumes of manuscripts. As a result our study we found out that 700 manuscripts are extant, 81 of these are related with out research subject, 30 of them are main text, 47 commentaries, super commentaries and 4 texts. Which were published as that books to be used in the schools of Ottoman Empire at verious times. It was also understood from the records that most of manuscripts which were published before the Turkhish Republic had been transferred from the libraries of Trabzon. So far we could not find out any study made about the literal side of AH Kushchu, who himself was a Samarkandian astronomen. In order to fill the gap in this filed we have edition of this work in produced a critical in one part of study. This study was made in respect with five copies of his work, four of which in the Library of Trabzon and the remaining in the National Library of Izmir, in Turkey. At the end of our study, we were able to find out that he had fifty woks in different fields, such as astronomy, mathematics, linguistics, logic, Qur'anic, commentary (tafsir) and history, which some of them were not stated in the sources. Most of these works are the kind of text, mainly in manuscripts. This study is compesed of three chapters; In the first chapter, we dealt with the manuscripts of Arabic language and rhetoric (Belâğha) which were found in the Library of Trabzon. The second chapter deals with AH Kushchu's life, works and the definition of his work called "Risale fi'1-Mecâz ve'1-İsti'âre". In the third and final chapter we produced the critical edition of the manuscript.
