Abstract (EN)
In this study the plant parasitic nematodes in orchards and vineyards in Edirne, Kırklareli and Tekirdağ provinces of Thrace region was determined, common virus diseases were detected, virus vector nematodes were identified and their virus trnsmission potential were evaluated. After nematode identifications 56 species belonging to 22 genera were found in vineyards and 35 species belonging to 17 genera were identified in orchards. Among these species Longidorus attenuatus, Trichodorus similis, Basiria gracilis, Aphelenchoides sacchari, A. confusus, A. obtusus, Paratylenchus nawadus, P. latesence, P. nainianus were found for the first time in Thrace Region. On the other hand Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV), Arabis mosaic virus (ArMV), Tomato black ringspot virus (ToRSV) were detected in vineyards while Tomato black ring virus (TBRV), Tomato ringspot virus (ToRSV) and Arabis mosaic virus (ArMV) were found in orchards. Virus vector nematodes Xiphinema index, X.italiae, Longidorus elongatus, L. attenuatus, Trichodorus similis were found in the soil samples. X. index and X. italiae were found in 41 of GFLV infected vines but other vectors were not found. GFLV virus transmission studies were carried out with X. index, X. italiae, X. pachctaicum, Macroposthonia xenoplax nematode species but only X. index were able to transmit the virus. In another study with TBRV virus were not transmitted with L. attenuatus and L. elongatus. In addition virus was detected serologically and molecularly in X. index individuals. Key words: Plant parasitic nematodes, grapevine and fruit tree viruse diseases virus nematode relationships
