Abstract (EN)

The Trigeneration System (Combined Cooling, Heat and Power Systems) is the simultaneous production of the electricity and heat energy from the same fuel in the same system. Both of these energies are needed in the industrial applications and the residence buildings. The most important point in these systems is to make optimal use of the fuel's energy. While the efficiency of conventional electricity generation systems is around 35-40%, the energy efficiency produced by the trigeneration system is up to 80-85%. One of the methods used in combined heat and power systems is the trigeneration systems with gas engines. In these systems, the generated waste heat is made use of as a heating and cooling energy while the electricity is produced with the help of a gas engine and an alternator. The heat obtained by cooling the combustion air absorbed in the engine, the heat acquired from the lubrication oil processing in the engine, the heat obtained by cooling the engine casing and obtained from stack gas are the recycled waste heats in the trigeneration system. The aim of this study is to recover the efficiency of the current system which does not make use of the waste heat of cooling water of the lubricant oil and to regain this waste heat with the help of plate exchangers and running water and by keeping it temporarily in the accumulation tank and using it for preheat in boiler system through circulation pumps so that the system's operating rate of the energy improves.
